Specification: 0.5g,1.0g

Composition: Cefazolin Sodium for Injection contains 0.5g or 1g Cefradine.

Indications: Infections include respiratory tract infections, cholecystitis, hepatophyma, urinary tract infections, endocarditis, septicemia, meningitis, tonsillitis, pyelonephritis, cystitis, cellulites; otitis media, etc. It has better effects especially for some severe infections.

Administration and Dosage:

Adults dosage is 1-2g per day in 2 divided doses by injection, severe infections 3-5g per day in 4 divided doses by injection.

In childrens dosage is 20-40mg/kg/day in 2 divided doses by injection.

The dosage by i.m. or i.v. injection is the same .Make it soluble with enough steriled water for injection before using, then can be added to steriled nacl injections or glucose injections, but cannot be added to Lidocaine injections. If white precipitates are found when it dissolve in water, it can be warmed with hot water until the solution is clear.
