Specification: 0.5g,1.0g

Composition: Cefradine(with Arginine) for Injection contains 0.5g or 1g Cefradine.

Indications: Its valid to the infections caused by staphylococcus, hemolytic streptococcus, pneumococcus, colibacillus,pneumobacillus,Bacillus dysenteriae, and other indo-negative proteus, hemobacillus influenzae, bacillus dysenteriae, Salmonella and neisseria, include:

Respiratory infections: tympanitis, otitis media tonsillitis, bronchopneumonia, bronchitis and lobar pneumonia.

Urogenital infections: cystitis, pyelonephritis

Gastro-intestinal infections: dysentery, enteritis, and peritonitis

Skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections. It is also valid to septicaemia and endocarditis.

Administration and Dosage:

It can be used by i.v. and i.m. injection and peritoneal injection. For severe infections, it is better to be used by i.v. injection when the treatment begins.

Adults: 0.5-1g/dose, 4 doses daily

For severe infections, 8g per day.

Children: 50-100mg/kg/day in 4 divided doses, for severe infections 200-300mg/kg/day.

Infections patients need to be treated until 48-72 hours when their symptoms disappear or bacteria are found to be killed. For infections caused by hemolytu streptococcus, they shuld be treated up to 10 days in order to prevent supervenation of rheumation or glomerular nephritis. Infections for a long time may be treated for several weeks.
