DESCRIPTION. In traditional Chinese medicine, it is considered that arthralgia and numbness of limbs are a result of insufficiency of qi and blood , affection of wind - cold - dampness and obstruction of meridians . Based on the theories of " the waist is the house of kidney, " " the liver controls the tendon " and " the kidney controls the bone", the therapeutical principle for such disorders is to invigorate the liver and to strengthen  the tendon and bone.

INGREDIENTS.In the prescription, Rhizoma Cibotii , Semen Cusctae and Fructus Rosae Laevi-gatae are used for warming kidney and strengthening yang; Ramulus Taxilli, FructusLigustri  Lucidi,  and Caulis Spatholobi of nourishing blood , benefiting qi , dredging meridians, invigorating liver and kidney  and strengthening tendon and bone , and Olibanum for activating blood circulation, regulating qi and relieving pain.

ACTIONS AND INDICATIONS. Invigorate liver and kidney, strengthen tendon and bone, eliminate wind and dampness, activate meridians and alleviate pain. Indicated for sciatica, lumbago, and arthralgia of knee joint.
